I started 2020 with Cold Steel I, without playing the previous games. If you decide to continue walkthrough then you have to finish previous games such as Sky and Azure because of many characters which will appear in the next parts. Start going through part of the Erebonia arc: Cold of Steel 1 and 2. If i play Cold steel 1-4 will i understand most or almost nothing of this title? So don't think of it as 'I have to play all these old games to get to this one' but as 'I've got all these great games to play, and at the end there is this Reverie game waiting for me', and have fun on your Trails journey! :-) Question I checked Sky and also Zero and Azure and I 100% can't play those games, im way too overused to todays graphics. So don't think of it as 'I have to play all these old games to get to this one' but as 'I've got all these great games to play, and at the end there is this Reverie game waiting for me', and have fun on your Trails journey! :-) Those games, in turn, are significantly enhanced by having played Trails in the Sky FC/SC/3rd.įortunately, each and every one of those games, from the earliest (Trails in the Sky FC) onward, is totally worth playing on it's own merits, quite aside from being a part in the larger tale of which Trails into Reverie is a capstone of sorts. Trails into Reverie isn't going to make much sense without at least Trails ofĬold Steel 1-4, and preferably Trails from Zero/Trails to Azure as well. Or wait until the next game Kuro (no english title yet) comes out. For an entry point, go back to the start of any of the arcs-the first Trails in the Sky, Trails from Zero, or Trails of Cold Steel 1. It is a capstone to the previous 2 arcs (6 games).
